Both lefties and both played blues on a Gibson Flying V. When I was young in the 60s I played this album over and over and over and over when it came out (Live Wire/ Blues Power). One day when I was playing the track Blues Power, where Albert King talks to the live audience at the Filmore saying "everybody understands the blues. Everybody from one to to another has the blues. You take the little baby in the cradle. He can't get that milk bottle fast enough..." my dad lost it. He came to my room and begged me to stop playing the album. Although he was from a different generation, my dad had always been understanding about the music I played. But apparently, I'd played that album so many times that I had driven the poor guy insane and he couldn't take it anymore.

I also played it to death. My dad was less tolerant than yours, though.

Stevie Ray Vaughan was also very influences by Albert King, and performed with him. Multiple videos of this on YouTube.
