1. Hell, that's pretty close to my fantasy writing office too.

Except that I'd need more room for books. I did a quick-count survey in my head last night and between the 6 places I've got books stashed on the East Coast, I have about 13000 unique volumes give or take 1000.

Also, the decor's not quite my style.

2. I love the old home libraries with tons of books and a ladder to reach the upper stacks.

Even though I like the new ereaders, I really don't want to see paper books to go the way of 8-tracks.

My DH uses an ereader on the bus he takes to work, he is not alone, about half of the regulars also use ereaders. Paper books have been my friends since I learned to read, I have no plans of giving them up
