1. Hell, that's pretty close to my fantasy writing office too.

Except that I'd need more room for books. I did a quick-count survey in my head last night and between the 6 places I've got books stashed on the East Coast, I have about 13000 unique volumes give or take 1000.

Also, the decor's not quite my style.

2. I love the old home libraries with tons of books and a ladder to reach the upper stacks.

Even though I like the new ereaders, I really don't want to see paper books to go the way of 8-tracks.

An old movie stereotype, but it still makes me feel cozy. The ereaders . . . not so much

5. eReaders are fine, especially to take a bunch of books on a trip

But there's just nothing like curling up by the fire with a good bood - a REAL ONE.

7. And great for public transportation too

My DH uses an ereader on the bus he takes to work, he is not alone, about half of the regulars also use ereaders. Paper books have been my friends since I learned to read, I have no plans of giving them up
