I used to go to the local park, 4 blocks from my house and swing and swing and swing. Sometimes I'd let go and land 10 feet away. That was the start of risky sports for me. I went on to try white water canoeing, scuba diving and horseback riding. I'd try something once or twice, really enjoy it the first time, then get bored with it after that. I now spend my time following political economy because it is always novel, always changing.

and I was always able to entertain myself, unlike kids today. I'm glad I grew up in the era before all these technological gee-gaws and doo-dads. LOL

I lived a very restricted life, and I spent a whole lot of time reading and making up stories. And I still do. Only I get paid for it now.
