Heatwraps for lower back pain, and pregnancy - your experiences?

Curious about experiences from women here who have used heatwraps for lower back pain during pregnancy - some say don't use them, some say it's okay. Did they give you problems, or no? Thanks!

Clairol used to make a great handheld one years ago for about $20 but don't anymore. You can find many sizes and varieties online though. My chiropractor had a huge one on a stand and I loved it. It penetrates much deeper into the tissues than any kind of heating pad. I'd still like to get a handheld one or other variety of the smaller and cheaper ones online when I have the money.

Do a google search for "infrared heat lamp for muscle pain" to check out a whole lot of different ones.

When I was pregnant (20years ago) I had a kink in my hip for a week that pinched when I turned my right foot out. I saw a physical therapist only once; she did some manipulation and gave me two exercises to do and it was totally better in a day or two.
