Me, my wife and my daughter all read and loved the book. We'll go see it for sure.

What an interesting concept! I don't think I'd go to the cinema to see that, but I might pay a couple of bucks to rent the DVD from Redbox when it comes.

that have been re-written to add monsters into the mix

Abe Lincoln - Vampire Hunter
Pride & Prejudice - and Zombies
Jane Slayre
Little Vampire Women
Sense & Sensibility - and Sea Monsters.

I think the first two books on my list were pretty successful commercially - not sure about the others since.

I've been wondering about the status of this -- a friend of mine was the director's housekeeper while they were filming on location in New Orleans.

Bonus points for using part of a Johnny Cash song/spoken word piece in the trailer.
