Without the ads flashing on my screen, I would never have become aware that there is a men's aftershave called "Pitbull."
Are they kidding me? Pitbull?

Unless some dog lovers have too much money?!

If one uses Firefox, the Adblock add-on makes the ads go away. (Just lost my star, too. Waiting until Savingstar makes a deposit in my Paypal account before I think about getting it back.)

Where I live in the bush requires a mobile connection - VERY pricey. (no landline, no cable)
around $10/ gig.
Consider movies being from 4 - 8 gig - watching a movie online would be $40 - $80 - ain't gonna happen.
YouTube uses about 7meg/minute - so I rarely click on videos.
DU can better use my $$ than my internet providers.
And I sure don't miss the advertisements!

Telecom companies hoarding airwaves that could be used to provide more high-speed Internet service to rural Canadians have been given a warning by the federal government: 'Use it or lose it.'
Industry Minister James Moore said Thursday that the government will reclaim some spectrum licences up for renewal next year if the telecom companies haven't deployed them.
