I'm amazed! Astounded!

All it took was 5 bullies* on Ignore to utterly transform the DU experience!
It's just like the old days.
All viewpoints still represented but reasonable, friendly and engaging.

What a difference! I recommend it to the 99% of DU.

*my bully criteria: pretty simple. Member with tens of thousands of postings who, in my years of experience with them, have posted virtually nothing but harrassments of other DU'ers. Extra points for doing so in a childish way.

In other words, I tried, I really tried, but you are just a bully.

Just 5 bullies and my life is better.

if probably a lesson in futility. One would think most people wouldn't have a "hair trigger" when it comes to that, but somehow I'm betting that at least a few do.

So be it. I would have to be pushed pretty far, in terms of really nasty behavior towards me, to permanently put someone on ignore. I think it is easier to just avoid them.

I try to avoid conflict but I agree with the op that there are some that just spend all their time looking painfully to post argumentive posts.

...just to watch him die?

Putting him on 'Ignore' was a viable alternative, yanno.

I tried to avoid this forever.

But putting the Furious 5 on ignore just changed ... everything.

Bullies are bullies.

I just feel that enduring bullies is not required in life. Go ahead and put ones who you think fit the bill on Ignore. In DU3 you don't even see Ignored / Ignored / Ignored anymore.

They're just gone. And all sides of any argument are still represented. Just by regular people who aren't abusive is all.

Hi everybody else! It's so roomy in here.
