(13,257 posts)Beginning with Enterprise, it was obvious Roddenberry's values and idealism died with him.
For those who can make the leap or are only familiar with the new franchise, more power to them. But this isn't the Star Trek I grew up with.

There was a lot to like in the last movie, but overall I thought it was disrespectful to the franchize. This... I don't even know what it is.

I'm not a particular fan of either Star Trek or Star Wars, but I thought Star Trek was smarter than this.
