(20,277 posts)I was disappointed with was Adele. Sorry, but I don't think that song is that great.

(12,296 posts)... the teeny snip they played of it, sounded great. Methinks that should have won instead of Skyfall.
HappyMe
(20,277 posts)That Chasing Ice song was way better than Skyfall. I think Adele won because it is a James Bond theme.

(72,790 posts)Such a bad, bad song.

(46,179 posts)I don't know what the results were, because I didn't watch. I couldn't agree or disagree, because I only saw 2 of the potential winners: Life of Pi and Beasts of the Southern Wild.
bigwillq
(72,790 posts)How were they?
LWolf
(46,179 posts)Technical stuff was great, and they did a pretty good job with the story.
Beasts? Great. Maybe the best I've seen in the last year. I don't go see many, though.
bigwillq
(72,790 posts)Hope to see them both soon.
I saw Argo, Silver Linings Playbook, Zero Dark Thirty and Les Miz from the Best Picture nominees.
I thought Argo was the Best choice for Best picture of those four, although I liked Silver Linings Playbook the Best.
LWolf
(46,179 posts)change after you see Beast.

(72,790 posts)I thought it was good. It was certainly an interesting and unique film. Quvenzhané Wallis was amazing. However, I thought Jennifer Lawrence was better, and I thought Argo and Silver Linings were better overall.
LWolf
(46,179 posts)Since I haven't seen the other 2 to compare.

(13,447 posts)I would've liked to have seen it get more wins. I really thought Spielberg was a lock for Best Director, but then I haven't seen Life of Pi yet.
That said, I really liked Argo, so I can't complain too much with it winning best picture. I can also accept Christoph Waltz winning Best Supporting Actor over Tommy Lee Jones as both men gave great performances.

(72,790 posts)I saw a few of the movies before the telecast.
I was pleased for Argo and Lawrence.
Didn't see Lincoln, but DDL has been a shoe-in all along.
I wanted DeNiro to win.
