Sometimes life is stranger than fiction.

Now that Downton Abbey has finished up its season, there isn't much worth watching on TV on a Sunday night, se we usually make it a movie night. Either Netflix or something from the library. I have several titles reserved at our local library, but they are new films with a long waiting list. I swung by the other day to pick up a book that I had requested and discovered that one of the flicks I had on reserve had come in, so I grabbed it along with my book.

This evening we loaded it up in the DVD player and settled down to watch. It turned to be an excellent movie that kept us both enthralled.

Afterwards, I checked in with IMDB to see what other viewers had to say about it. Most of them agreed that the movie was great, even if it was a little revisionist. I also noted that IMDB was posting the results of the Academy Awards as they were announced. The only one that I really pay much attention to is best Picture.

In an interesting coincidence, The Best Picture award went to the movie we had just watched, Argo.

No great message here, just an idle curiosity.

AMC's The Walking Dead is great serial television. You could give it a try...
