On Laugh-In, the Nazi soldier who observed everything and commented with the signature line, "Veerrrry interesting." was comedian Arte Johnson.

Henry Gibson recited satirical poetry.

Sigh. Sounds terrible, but I use to confuse both of them constantly because they were both so, well, diminutive. I guess I still do. My shortcoming, not theirs.
