Anyone watch House of Cards?

I watched episode 9 or 10 tonight. I can't believe the majority whip with a long term plan to become president would murder a congressman with his own hand. Shitty writing in my opinion. What say you? Hope I didn't spoil it....

I was distracted by how much Kevin Spacey's good ol' boy accent sounds like Bing Crosby.

I'm not sure I'll continue with it. I am not in the proper frame of mind right now to enjoy watching a series with so many nasty people.

I am a huge Kevin Spacey fan, but the accent is distracting. I ignored the accent and kept watching, I think it is pretty good overall but they lost me with a guy who is supposed to be sly and calculating commiting murder. I thought it killed the Kevin Spacey character... He is supposed to be a calculating person not dipshit.

It's still a good show but it lost something when that happened.

And I hate that they made Russo my congressman. Bob Brady deserves better.

people off to war to kill and maim or be killed or maimed, so what's the big deal about offing a drunk who's in the way? I always ask, what would the Mafia do? That's what Congress and corporations would do--only without the Mafia honor. So killing the congressman didn't seem far-fetched to me all. Don't many members of Congress seem cold-cold-cold to you?

One thing I like about the show is that more than once a character, like Spacey's, will say how no one on Capitol Hill cares about regular people. That point can't be hammered home enough. I also like that Spacey breaks the fourth wall.
