(3,502 posts)It's funny what these guys do to us. I don't know you at all, but you and Buddy have been in my thoughts since I saw your post about losing him. Thing is, it's clear you gave him a good life. I know how much you miss him. They are only with us for such a short time under the best of circumstances, so giving them a loving home while they're with us is what it's all about. I hope you'll find your next canine soul mate soon.

(11,895 posts)I don't exactly know what you're going through, because all of my old boys have been euthanized. But I know your sense of loss, and it will get a little easier over time. Don't bottle it up (trust me on that). And don't be afraid to open your home to a new furry friend.

(11,895 posts)yesterday while beginning a major pack/move. My husband was thrilled that I found so many pictures.
He was not thrilled that I'm starting to clear out and pack for a move we don't make until May!!

(20,219 posts)So so sorry....
When I lost my baby to an accident (twice actually...Thumbelina, most special kitty in the world 'bout 20 years ago and then my sweet special TeenyBeenyWeeny Pomeranian 5 1/2 years ago).....I was a total wreck. Now I'm getting all choked up......
You are a strong person.
