Just started watching season 3 of night court and heard the opening theme song.
It is one of the themes I can constantly listen to
And I love Daria's theme
And Hogan's Heroes get an honorable mention
How about you?

(3,574 posts)For those who don't know, the Munsters tunes were done by the Standells, one of my favorite 60's psychedelic bands.

Though also a huge fan of The Munsters, I never realized until tonight
that they did that theme song.

I still love Fred Gwynne's head-wobbling, big ol' goofy gleeful grin
after kissing Lily on the cheek and heading off to work.

(3,574 posts)Next time you watch a Munsters episode. The Standells are in there. In fact, at least in the early episodes, I believee they provied the "background" music throughout the show - remember the electric guitar? And remember, MFM - "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White"!

(1 post)The group is still very active, and is recording their first record album in over 46 years. Go here to listen to a demo of their song "Mr. One Percent" which will be on the album.
The Standells slam greedy corporations and the wealthiest 1% of Americans.
"Mr. One Percent" is a demo of a song that was written by Larry Tamblyn months before the "Occupy" movement began. It will be in the Standells' upcoming record album. Because the lyrics deal with the very issues of economic inequality that those of Occupy Wall Street are protesting, the Standells felt that they'd rather show support for the cause now with the unfinished version.

My favorite from a current show - Doctor Who:
Lyrics by Craig Ferguson

(7,670 posts)sooo funny. i was watching the night they did the rehearsal of it but were not allowed to use it. Craig did a very funny cold open anyways and kept harping on how he hoped "someone" would leak the rehearsal taping onto the internet - which happened a few weeks later - then they finally got the permission (I'm guessing from Orbital) to use it. Top notch stuff from Craig. *on edit - added the video of the widescreen official airing of the lost cold open.

(719 posts)....but the theme to The Damon Wayans Show always cracked me up.
Silly and simple:
"It's Damon's show....it's not your show
It's Damon's show.....it's not your show..."
This would repeat a few times, and then end abruptly with a "ba-doo-doo."
I really liked this show...Andrea Martin was hilarious.
