maybe on kamino they used and umbilical cord to get the fetus oxygen and nourishment, maybe it was hooked up to a machine or something.

He is a clone. an EXACT copy of the original. It may or may not have been "functionally" used during the gestation period, but he would have one if his "father" had one.

And I kind of envisioned those clone-tanks as more like eggs than wombs.
