Ryan Andresen was denied his Eagle Scout badge because hes gay, which is why I wanted him on my show, and why I signed this petition. http://chn.ge/RA7cx6

(47,675 posts)I quit cub scouts because the pack leader and second in command cheated on the pinewood derby so their kids got the top two spots. There were at least two of us who had undefeated cars. Both of the "winners" cars were soundly defeated. That was justification enough to abandon the pack. The anti-gay thing is rather ironic given how many gay child molesters have been exposed in the Boy Scouts program. I have nothing against gays, but I do have something against pedophiles. A major "something" in that department.

(242 posts)In the Pinewood derby. I won 2nd place the car I had I just primed it and it looked like crap. But it got 2nd place. Almost won first.

(47,675 posts)I made one in 9th grade shop class that looked something like Racer X's car but it was solid black. It would have run better if the wheels were drilled straight. The shop teacher wouldn't let us do that part and was sloppy about pretty much everything. He favored the nasty kids and treated those of us who actually did homework like shit. Still, it was a beautiful car. He at first refused to let me try the design until I pointed out that, yes, you COULD in fact safely cut it on a band saw.
I've got my own full-size drill press and 96" band saw now. Perhaps I'll make another version of it. I'm sure I still have the plans somewhere.
