I wish for a rainy evening! We are in drought conditions here and I haven’t heard the rain at night for a long time! But when it finally does rain, I’ll think of you and have a Green Devil to honor you and the rain gods ☺️

My choice is an ice cold Budweiser, 2024. Hops, barley etc. Sitting in my library in the garage, the door open facing East enjoying the Harvest Moon Rise. It will be full Wednesday Night. A little nip in the air but no rain in dry North Kansas.

It’s our time to absorb the beauty and tranquility the world offers us, and that the wealthy power structure tries so hard to keep from us.

In today’s world, embracing serenity is a revolutionary act.

Enjoy the time you have, I have found that retirement really agrees with me.

I'm glad you are making the most of the relaxation aspect.

I found myself drawing up a list of all the things around the house that I wanted to take care of, but “didn’t have the time”. And I realized: My God! I’m a movies unemployed guy!

I do have a list of things for Monday. We’ll see how it goes…

When they express their inability to grasp why I like rural life,

"I live in a place where there's such a thing as tomorrow. And, you know, if something didn't get done today, probably okay if it gets done tomorrow instead."

My philosophy and I'm stickin' to it!

I’m an insomniac who gets up every morning at six, work day or off day, and feels the need to get stuff done.

I’m looking forward to training myself to just relax and rest.

Get the hang of it. First thing, adopt a bad habit like insisting on reading the paper (or whatever interests you) with your morning coffee and enjoy it until the coffee is gone. If you you don't have a morning beverage, get one. Little opportunities will begin to present themselves.

And along with a little adventure and diversity life can be good!
Retired two years and I still get up at 5:30 without an alarm- body is used to it still!
