Leona Quigly ("The Queen of Scream" - 2nd Night of the Living Dead movie) said it was the only horror film that ever freaked her out.

my wife and I would sometimes skip out on classes and go rent a movie and go to her house. One time she said "Ohhh we HAVE to get this! This was the scariest thing I have ever seen!!!" so we rented Last House on the Left and went to her house.

And then laughed for an hour and a half. Well, I did. She mostly just scowled at me for finding it funny.

She later teased me mercilessly for making her go see They Live. In fact, she still does...even when I don't mention LHOtL..
