I have a relative who loves Rob Gonsalves calendars, has one for 2012.

And has had them for the past few years.

What does that say about her personality, I wonder?

His paintings are surreal; show a waterfall or trees morphing into people, etc.

but after looking at the link I like his stuff a million times more than anything Kinkade ever did.

I think it says that your relative likes life to be more creative, and less routine. She would like unexpected, interesting stuff to happen. Reality may have a different dimension if we can imagine it, and be open to it.
If you give something to this relative as gift, at least you know what she likes. A Rob Gonsalves calendar, or a magical mystery tour where she doesn't know where you're going until you get there...
