Good night, sweet garbage disposal, and a flight of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I got 19 years of faithful service from you, ol' ISE Badger Model 5 disposal; recently, however, you started leaking. A rusted body cavity - fatal, I'm afraid, so I install your replacement tomorrow morning. May it give as many years as you, old friend.

the newer disposals are really nice. I replaced mine a few years ago, and soon forgot all about the old one, other that it was louder and less powerful than the new one.
Rarely, but sometimes change is good.

to hold up the new disposal while you are screwing it in place under the sink.

Unless you have a big space under there and someone else can help you.
