Crap. Crappity crap crap CRAP.

I have gushed here about my upcoming 50th birthday trip a couple of times now. Flying my sisters from CA to meet us in Hollywood Beach, FL for a week.

I just booked the hotel, but didn't get the rooms I wanted. They're nearly sold out!

I AM PISSED! At myself! I never even considered that they could get booked up.

I'll get over it. Thank you for listening.

Well, why don't you inquire at the strip clubs - wait, those are over-booked too. HopeHoops Aug 2012 #5
In the overall view of things, a FAIRLY minor disappointment. MiddleFingerMom Aug 2012 #6

Or is price the issue?

A little confused by: "I just booked the hotel, but didn't get the rooms I wanted. They're nearly sold out!"

So were any rooms available, or just the ones you didn't want?

I wanted an ocean front room for us, and a partial ocean view for my sisters (they don't have ocean fronts with double beds). The ocean fronts were sold out. And the whole hotel is nearly sold out.

And if we couldn't stay at this hotel, I don't know what I'd do. We found it by chance when we made a trip down for Spring Training a few years ago. We didn't realize what kind of hotel we were getting into -- nor did we realize that it was on the beach. We had tickets for four games, but we blew off two because we just had to hit that beautiful beach, and lounge around a little in our fabulous room. I love that hotel.

An ocean view would've been nice.

But I am sure it will still be a good trip being with family and having fun.

I predict you're going to have such a good time that you're going to
realize that more and more and more and laugh at yourself for the
"importance" you attached to it at this point.
