You see me now a veteran of
a million political wars
I am a Democrat living in a
world of Ultra-Right Wing zombies
They spew forth their Conservative
platform and call it a cure
They rant on and on with hate
speech and all of that manure
I am far too old to fight them off
I am far too weak to keep them away
I'm not sure that there's anything left to me

Don’t let this mess go on
It's time we had a break from it
It's time we had some leave
All of our efforts are in vain
I just can’t take the strain

You ask me why I’m weary,
why I say these things to you
You attack me for being Liberal,
saying it’s time I changed and grew
But the fight is still going on dear,
and there's no end that I know
And I can't say if we're ever...
