Five old friends take same photo for 30 years

I wish I would done something like this.

In the summer of 1982, five high school buddies posed together on a bench in Copco Lake, California for one last photo before going off to separate colleges.

They've since recreated that moment on film seven times over the past three decades, and say that they'll continue to do so every five years until they die.

I think that is kind of unusual for 5 friends to all stay that close over so many years. Quantess Jul 2012 #12

I could never do that. Up until I was a mother of a six year old my family basically moved every two years on average, and we lived in Mexico and South America and in the US we lived in Boston, North Carolina, Illinois, Florida, Texas and California. I made friends but it's hard to stay in touch if you up and leave every two years.

I've lived in the Bay Area for 35 years.

for the town's 50th and 100th anniversaries. They gathered everyone in town together at the same intersection in the historic downtown district, only trouble was for the centennial, the aging mayor forgot to show up!

thanks to modern medical technology.

I really need to get a new avatar; I'm sick of looking at her myself.
