Wordle has gotten me back into playing Mastermind again.

10. Reviewgeek found a guy who hacked Wordle and found "roate" to be the best...

first word. That won't get you a win, but he said "raise" was one of the best, and could get you a win.

I guess their are a lot more "best" words. I go nuts when my opening word has one lousy yellow letter and it's almost like starting from scratch. Today, I got it in four, though, and thought that was pretty good.

Got a short list of opening words by now, and will see if any of them help.

I'll have to try snort! I've been going back and forth about whether to go vowel-heavy or consonant-heavy on my first word.

16. I always use ALERT, SONIC, DUMPY in that order.

After that I always get it in 4 or 5. Just playing it safe. hehe
