"Ballet in Cleats" (photos)

Processing the shots I took at my daughter's soccer tournament this weekend and I found this one.

They are U17's (incoming Juniors and Seniors). This was a College Showcase tournament with over 200 teams from around the country playing and over 300 college coaches there scouting, so they tend to play full bore.





Below is my daughter, #20 in orange.

And indeed, this is a ballet in cleats! Just perfect symmetry...

Two healthy, athletic, attractive young women, each trying to take the ball from the other...

I really enjoy sports photography. Getting a good timing shot like this is a plus. I just wish I'd been a little closer as this shot was taken almost the full field away and got a little grainy.

2. Great pic, and, that looks like me in the background

wearing the hat.

I always fall asleep during ballet performances.

3. It looks like two seconds before they both fall on their hips.

6. Actually, the player in red did.

The next shot in the sequence was the red player on the ground and the orange in possession.
