Had my corneal erosion surgery today

My cornea either erodes, or calluses form on them. Very unpleasant sensation of something in my eye.

Doc basically scraped my corneal surface off, then rinsed it, then put contact-lens bandaid on it. My eye was numbed before this.

Hurts like a mother. Followup tomorrow

Can't even imagine "scraping the corneal surface off". I would think that would be mighty painful. Hope the pain subsides soon and your vision is OK.

17. It is amazing - in a weird sort of way - how painful a cornea can be.

I went through years of corneal abrasions before the cornea finally failed to be replaced by a cadaver cornea. It was exquisitely painful. Nothing sense has begun to get my attention.

The good news is that it feels so good when it quits hurting.
