(28,347 posts)I was worried that the 2nd owl was injured. Thankfully both were unhurt. Tragically, they would have died.
Thankfully these people looked for them, found them and had the know-how to rescue these beautiful birds.
Disaffected
(4,554 posts)from chimneys but not ones so large as an large owl. Usually we are able to reach them thru the fireplace (they usually can't get farther than the damper on their own).
As mentioned up thread, it's very important to have a screen over the chimney (a course "wire cloth" type of screening is best to minimize the chances of it plugging up).
