When I was in high school, the drinking age was 18. It was loosely enforced and I never had to borrow an ID to get beer.

(29,556 posts)2. Where I lived in the sixties the photo ID card you used to get into a bar and
the license you had to drive were not good enough to prove you weren't out after curfew, only a draft card worked for that. Harassment, pure and simple.

Michigan When the legal age was 21 went across the water, joined the army age really didnt matter, When I came home age was 21 didnt matter soooo .thanks the the Army where I learned theres more than alcohol, started working on trying to legalize cannabis.

For beer purchases at 16. Back during the time when a cop caught you with beer, it was confiscated, only.
