Some thoughts and findings about Hydrogen Peroxide. Yes, this has been

discussed on DU at least twice before. Anyone with an interest can perform a DU Site Search.

Since I'm no stranger to the use of hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol to treat the
bad skin I inherited from my family (both are excellent anti-bacterial/sanitizing products but hydrogen peroxide is much gentler to human skin) here are my
observations. I'd never dream of using rubbing alcohol in my mouth. Yuck! I have
used hydrogen peroxide as a mouth rinse and gargle a few times.

But since early 2020 I've used hydrogen peroxide as my sanitizing fluid of choice and I've seen it wear holes in the washcloths I use to sanitize things and I've had
hydrogen peroxide dripping all over since it will eat holes in the large plastic zip-loc
bag I use to carry my sanitizing kit around in. I'm very careful with this stuff and I
hope you are too.

and jet fuel.

In concentrated form it can be very dangerous and damage skin.

Avoid inhaling hydrogen peroxide fumes.

to make hair blonde.

As a sanitizing agent, I use everywhere, and even keep a bottle of it in my car too.

processes.

A big advantage is it eventually becomes just plain water (when it loses its extra oxygen atom) and isn't a hazard to dispose of.

P.S. I also didn't know about it losing its strength (loses the extra oxygen atom) after a while. It does make it nice to dispose of afterwards.

can be used to lighten hair (best in conjunction with other substances like baking soda there are many youtube videos of people doing exactly that).

It can be used as a mouthwash (make sure such use is mentioned on the bottle and follow directions to dilute with water, avoid swallowing).

Had to induce vomiting when my dog got into chocolate that my daughter, who was young at the time, left out accidentally. It works.

I’ve tried every topical cream, lotion and ointment available but none of them work for mosquito bites. On a whim, and out of desperation, I tried hydrogen peroxide directly on the bite. Works every time.

At a higher concentration than 3% of course. You can even use the concentrated stuff from the beauty supply to bleach old electronics that have become discolored.
