1. So true

The day we brought Goldie home, she jumped on the couch and leaned her head on my shoulder. This is the same behavior she exhibits whenever I sound slightly upset. Whether she wants affection, or she wants to comfort me, I have to pay my dues and pet her.

3. Rescue dogs

All of our dogs have been rescue dogs. We rescue them and they, in turn, rescue us.

6. Rescued a 12 year old Chihuahua mix a couple of months ago..

You never know what kind of dorky, charming and hilarious quirks these guys will have. Turns out with this one, he follows my wife everywhere like a little shadow, and spends his time looking for her when she has to be away. He is a precious little treasure, and we're spoiling him rotten.

11. Aww, how beautiful.

I've had my rescue dog (a beagle named Scamp) for 2-1/2 years now, and wouldn't trade him for anything.
