Why is Martha Stewart's cat resting in a mortar
in the pretty litter commercial? You can barely see its head.

1. Are you telling me that Martha Stewart is hawking cat litter now?
And I thought those Macy's commercials she did alongside the former guy were bad...

2. She is
and instead of holding the cat, like other commercials for pet products, you just see this orange-and-white furry lump nestled in what looks like a giant mortar.
It's weird |

7. Kitty looks like he wants to escape.
She is keeping the cat in with her hand.

3. Because that's what cats do...

https://www.ispot.tv/ad/t0Sm/prettylitter-always-been-a-cat-lover-featuring-martha-stewart Although I don't think that's a happy cat tail wag (the cat appears to try to bolt at one point). |

6. When cats wag their tail, they are not happy.
Cats are the opposite of dogs there.

4. Cause she's famous for food prep/cooking, and a mortar is a food prep tool?
That'd be my guess
