Delighted Doggy Reunited With Human After Four Long Days

Occurred on June 15, 2021 / Mesa, Arizona, USA

"My husband and I were in the middle of moving cross-country from New York to California, with plans to visit family in Arizona on the way. My husband left in our car a few days before my dog and I left on a plane (we both get very carsick). We reunited in Arizona and it had been four days by that point since my dog had last seen my husband. She absolutely adores him and was visibly stressed the whole time he was gone. I knew she was going to flip out when they reunited, so I wanted to be sure to capture that moment on video. His arrival caught her totally off-guard and as soon as she recognized him, she lets out an excited boof and sprints into his arms, excitedly jumping and yipping and licking his face for several minutes. Her response was exactly what we expected, and it's been really heartwarming to get to share that moment with others, especially those who can relate to that feeling with their own pets."

... and gripped one of Dad's legs tight with his forelimbs after we returned from a 2-week trip to Germany in the early 80's.

It was crying like it was terribly abused during our absence, but it was treated fine by my older sister's family during that time. They stayed in the house while we were away, and it's not like they were abusive-types whatsoever.

Dad actually struggled to get the dog to let go of his leg, after at least a full minute of it.

She is a lot like your dog in size and acts the same when I leave out of town.

We were gone a month helping my son build an addition onto his house. When we returned, our 3 cats looked at us, turned around and went into another room. Cat love is different.

My cat Samantha was living with my mother for four months when I was away overseas. When I returned to get her, she stared at me, then ran up and began rubbing my face and climbing all over me.

while I visited relatives in Arizona.

When I went to pick her up, they said she had moped all week except when anyone got near the cage to clean it or feed her. On those occasions, she growled and hissed.

So they asked me to go with the ver's assistant to take the cat from the cage to her carrier.

She was completely invisible, huddled under a blanket in a box they had given her. The blanket moved slightly when I called her name. Then her nose and eyes appeared. She stared a moment, as if she couldn't believe it was true. Then she rushed to the cage door and rubbed against it, purring and pushing her paws through to touch my hand. I opened the cage door and she rushed into my arms, rubbing my face constantly.

The staff was amazed at the complete change. I wasn't. The poor little gal thought I had deserted her. I felt guilty.

The tail is the kicker.

Mr. Bayard gets back this evening after being gone a week. We'll be playing the same scenario here with 4 dogs. OMG--it's the DAD!!
