They name it that in order to let people know what it's for, while also letting people know that the sauce is vegan friendly.

It's for any kind of beef substitute. I like Heinz 57 on my burgers sometimes. I've never seen a vegan steak, but I think there's a good possibility that they exist. If they can have vegan cheese and vegan wieners, they probably have vegan steaks.
