4. I Have Watched My Share Of Vids. . .

. . . That demonstrate several supposedly life-altering hacks that just aren't necessary. Sometimes it is just easier to buy some do-dad from the Dollar store than pull out an Exacto knife and laboriously carve it from a plastic laundry detergent bottle or whatever. I suppose there is some pride to be gained from making something by oneself, but it reminds me of pipe cleaner art. "Yay! You did an art project. It's a bunch of pipe cleaners twisted together to look like a bug or whatever. Get back to me when you can re-create the Crucifixion with marshmallow Peeps."

11. Thank you!!

I love Peep Parody Art. The darker the subject matter, the more insanely humorous it is played out with Peeps. It's even better than Twisted Barbie Art.

Of course, there will be sincere believers who are offended. Given a choice, I would rather not go out of my own way to do so, but I can't help laughing whenever Peeps are involved.

One website I used to visit years ago played out the basic narrative of the movie 300 with Peeps. My favorite line was, "Only the Soft and Pillowy may call themselves Spartans. Only the Soft. Only the Pillowy."

6. I love the expression on his face!

He was still unnecessarily complicating the bread bag. EVERYONE knows that you grab the loose end, give the bread a spin, then tuck the twist under the bread when you put it down. Easier at both ends of that transaction.

7. For bread I save the old twist ties

Now that so many bread products use those little plastic things that don't fit over the twist or that tear the bag when you take it off, I keep a pile of twist ties off the other bread products to use. Those things actually last along time so I use them until either the paper or plastic covering comes off or the wire breaks and they are too short to use again.

I disagree with his assessment of the cup handle. Obviously he is young and has never had issues with his hands. And he has good long fingers. I have short fingers that will not reach around some glasses. When I was younger, my grip was strong enough to overcome that, but now that I am older, have arthritis and have had issues such as carpal tunnel that affect my grip, I need a handle for larger diameter glasses and cups. That zip tie idea is pretty good, but would cut into my fingers uncomfortably. I did buy a handle for the insulated cup I use everyday and it makes a world of difference.

12. We all adapt, don't we?

I always thought life would meet my terms, but as I approach 70, I'm finding that to be less true than I'd like.

Best of luck on this quest we're on!

13. Yes, that's what humans do - adapt

While I found the video in the OP fun, there are things that are in those life hack videos that can help people when needed. Oh, I'm only about year behind you and really starting to feel my age.

Good luck to you, too.

10. the handle on the glass was so dumb

Made out of zip ties. So what do you do after the drinking? To wash it you'd have to clip off the now useless plastic strips and throw them in the land fill. All for what? You spend minutes zipping up a tall glass a handle, to drink for less than a minute, with an uncomfortable unstable handle. When you have a perfectly alternative way your hand can work to pick up the glass a different way.
I know I'm over evaluating this, but sometimes I just need to talk it out to fully grasp the stupidity of humans.
