4. I also had the blond boy...

Jay I think his name was, and my two younger sisters had the Mother and daughter.

I might get one of the NA characters sometime later.

5. I had the Captain Maddox doll.

This was before someone came up with the term 'action figure'.

8. Looks a lot like Robert Conrad.

All that's missing is the battery on his shoulder.

6. when my sister sold her house after the kids left,

she did a sale for her company's charity.
she sold my nephew's gi joe collection- about 30 of them, all w every little thing, and in.the.boxes. early ones. 1st kid was born in 64, then bing, bing, bing. this was #2.
kid bought them by doing chores. had the new ones 1st day.
i dont know what she got for them, she just said- a pretty penny.

her hubs should have been a drill sergeant. when the 4 kids were small, he was in law school, and my sister worked 2nd shift, so, he was the one who made the rules.
they had a whole closet full of games w every piece, and complete lego sets in the box.
jigsaw puzzles. you name it, they never lost anything.

i cant imagine.

7. I remember it well

I was a G.I. Joe kid, though. I still have one of the action figures and the Mercury space capsule!

10. Oooh.

That's cool.

I would've made a lot fewer Creepy Crawlers if I had a space capsule.

12. We had the "Thingmaker" too!

It was a real pain in the butt though in the 70's, to find the "Plastigoop."

17. I just looked for it online.

Patti-goop must be the aftermarket equivalent.

What a great toy.

15. I had the Creepy Crawler set, too!

But i was kind of a weirdo because I figured out how to make hybrids of the different bugs. I think my parents took it away from me...

14. Not much for western stuff

Preferred Jonny Quest to Johnny West, but yeah, I remember him.

I can't remember where I left my keys, but I can still sing the whole jingle from "Marvel the Mustang."
