My mind is going.

This afternoon I couldn't remember the phrase, "mow the yard", so I told my son to, "You know.....shave the grass".

1. If I have a conversation before my morning coffee and meds

... I seem to have that same problem.

4. Well, this was in the middle of day.

I have nothing else to blame it on or I would.

9. Friday was a bit misty where we were.

My husband took exception to me calling it heavy fog though.

I'm having more of those kinds of moments. Aphasia, I guess. "Shave the grass?" I can relate.

12. It's happening with increasing frequency, too.

I've decided to laugh it off. There's nothing else to do. I really hate when I can't remember a certain word when I need it and then it pops into my head an hour later.

10. That's, in fact, how they say it Spain: "Afeita la hierba"

As well as in parts of Latin America.

Literally: 'Shave the herb/grass'

In that case, I was simply being cosmopolitan.

17. Oddly enough...

My wife recently observed that I "mowed my face."

At eight inches my beard was going to seed.

18. I have been loosing words for 6 years now.

I'll be contributing to a conversation and suddenly the most important word is gone. WTF, who forgets the name of that big hairy Star Wars character...yeah what his name.

19. I know! The same thing happens to me.

How do we know how much is normal and when does it become concerning? I guess it doesn't matter in the long run.

20. I meant "saturn" and said "shamrock". But besides that, Google is making lost words irrelevant?

When I get stuck for a word or spelling, Google is right there from just a sound-alike or a synonym Search. Doesn't treat the problem, just the symptom.
