Got my 1st vaccine shot a little while ago.
No problems. There were several people getting their 2nd shots. The more the better so we can kick this virus in the arse.
Tried for 4 weeks to get this shot, so don't get discouraged. Since there's another company coming out with a vaccine things should loosen up. I'm sending good vibes your way and wishing all of my DU family the best. ![]()

1. Please consider registering with the CDC on their v-safe website
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/vsafe.html
They will contact you periodically to see if you have any symptoms due to reaction. This data will be a great help going forward. |

4. The public health center where I got mine didn't say boo!
I found out about it from another DUer, who told me in the thread I started today after getting my shot.

It only takes a minute! Already registered & cometed 1st day's survey!
Maybe they were out of flyers? ![]() Keep posting about this please. Here is CDC Vaccine Locator for pharmacies. Searchable by zip & manufacturer. I had to keep reloading site but, within an hour, I had appt & in less than 24 hours, vax was in my arm! Pharmacies appeared to be refreshing with 20 new appts at a time... https://vaccinefinder.org/search/ |

2. Congrats!
I got my 1st Pfizer yesterday!
![]() For those needing an appointment, here is the CDC Vaccine Locator link. Searchable by zip and manufacturer. I had to constantly reliad site as pharnacies were adding 20 appointments at a time. But I kept at it & scored, with 1st vax in my arm in pess than 24 hours! This site is only for pharmacies, not mass community sites. The appointments are 15 min apart & they were right on time when I went yesterday. https://vaccinefinder.org/search/ |

7. Wife and I got second round of Moderna on Thursday.
She had only mild symptoms. I had mild headache that evening but Friday was awful. Hypersensitive skin, aches everywhere, My left arm felt just like my right arm (where shot was administered). By Friday evening, waves of chills and more headaches. This morning:
just a hint of discomfort in right arm. Everything else was just a memory. If Friday was just a taste of C19, I don't want any part of that SOB. |
