My ignore list keeps me from getting angry.

I'm too old for anger.

But I went about 18 years never using the Ignore feature until a few months ago, on the grounds that I preferred to know the reality out there instead of pretending it doesn't exist. But gotta admit that DU is much better for my blood pressure without The Ignored. However, my main coping mechanism continues to be just skipping past without opening posts I've learned from hard experience to be ugly, rude, high-handed, intolerant, narrow minded - those who *never* quit their thing whatever their thing is.

But after my first impression of the O.P.'s theme, shared with yours, I wonder whether the reference was to DU and the Ignore feature or to real life persons in the O.P.'s life?

I don't really know anyone, aside from my wife, and I don't get around much... so I suppose I'm either ignoring everyone or no one in my daily life.

I think the clean, exciting feeling of having a Democratic President and majorities in Congress kindled a flushed feeling of camaraderie.
