Steakumms!

More like Steakumms??? They did not survive 8 minutes in the air fryer at 325. Very dry, Sandy textured, vaguely beef flavored dust.
Fry em or deny em!

1. Steakumms!

I haven't made them in a long time.

They have one of the best Twitter accounts, though.

2. What about 5 minutes? Steakummms are steak with the meat removed, blended, frozen, and sliced...

as some coagulated mixture that will turn to sand under extreme heat.

3. They use very low quality beef products in the Steakumm.

When frying, in the brief moment between thawing and cooking, around the 30-second mark, the smell of rotten, fatty beef-like stuff becomes evident. It's unpleasant.

The smell largely disappears when fully cooked, about 30 seconds later.

YMMV.

5. It's conglomerate meat. There *could be* some filet mignon

fat, and beef by-products in there.

I bought some recently because of their excellent social media postings. What a cool company!

But, that smell when they cooked was awful. And then, the foulness gets hidden as the meat blackens.

6. Saute them in olive oil with mushrooms and onions.

Makes a great cheese steak!

9. Yeah

I can take the lowliest frozen hamburger patty, cover it with cream of mushroom soup, wave it for 5 minutes and get a better result.
