This showed up in my email, purporting to be from Paypal. Something about it doesn't look right to me.
What say you -- real or fake?

Phishing is an illegal attempt to "fish" for your private, sensitive data. One of the most common phishing scams involves sending an email that fraudulently claims to be from a well-known company (like PayPal). If you believe you've received a phishing email, follow these steps right away:
Forward the entire email to [email protected].
Do not alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment.
Delete the suspicious email from your inbox.

(21,515 posts)I have received similar emails purporting to be Amazon. If you hover over the sender's email address, you will see that it is a very strange looking string of letters.
