Za'ha'dum G'Kar's Monologue

“There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril, we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future, or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.”

Babylon 5 was of the best Sci-Fi shows ever written IMO and G'kar became one of the best and deepest characters.

It was the only thing to ever threaten Trek as the greatest sci-fi TV of all time.

Star Trek still wins for scope and vision in my opinion. But I think Babylon 5 was the best story ever for sci-fi TV.

Watching the clip made me miss it.

Star Trek's Discovery and Picard are some of the best TV ever.

B5 could not spawn a successful sequel. Crusade had tremendous potential with deep mysteries to be uncovered, and then the "suits" tore it away from Straczynski.

... show - B5! 💖

Oh, I've been watching Trek since it's inception. Later I had to borrow DVD's for Discovery, but I have a smartphone and get all the Treks I couldn't before - Discovery, Piccard.
Some fans are not so fond of - but I love DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise! I really enjoy CBS All-Acess and being able to watch all the Treks in batches.

I guess I'd have to place B5 somewhat above Trek. The imagination, and breathe of it. The characters!
