I have the same age rifle. Decent scope on it.

I just like to shoot that gun. Super manageable and fun

7. My father-in-law had a Marlin, an old one.

Pre-1900. He sent them the serial numbers, and they sent him back some documentation on when it was originally made or sold ( not sure which).

The date was somewhere around 1890.

Many years ago, my grandfather gave me his Winchester Model 12 (20 gauge) and a Winchester double barreled 20 gauge.

Every time I took them out, I thought of him. I’m sure that your grandson will do the same.
