Shame on COSTCO.com for not anticipating today's

traffic and allowing their site to crash.

I love Costco, most stores and corps are garbage, they are not.

But there is no excuse for this.

1. How do you know it was Costco's fault? Networks across the Country have reported network...

outages...not specifically localized to one company...

6. Yeah, I know. It's scary that things like this could be done to disrupt elections and such. And...

you would think that the government would be definitely insistent on protecting our infrastructure against such outside foreign attacks, but they certainly don't seem to be interested in protecting Americans' and their infrastructure (repugs). I'm sure that they'll say it's too expensive or some other idiotic excuse that they have used in the past.

Take care!

3. It's back online.

The website is currently experiencing longer than normal response times. Please note that all Thanksgiving Day-only promotions have been extended into Friday November 29th, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. We apologize for any inconvenience.

4. No Costco.com outage reported here....

See: https://outage.report/us

Also, click on "Companies" at top of page to see heavily reported specific companies. If their servers has "crashed", it would likely be shown here. Sounds like a problem of data traffic volume overwhelming their servers but with no crash.

Perhaps one of our IT experts can weigh in and better explain. This may be just the early morning Black Friday surge which should subside a little later.

It was offline on Thanksgiving. There's a banner message today on the site that apologizes and extends the "Thanksgiving Only" offers.

7. The reason it was technically not out or not an outage is it was there but

it took forever and was impossible to use as you and others know.

thanks

so not crashed but might as well have been...
