Happy Halloween! Does anyone remember this poem?

I memorized it in first grade, many years ago.

Everything is black and gold,
Black and gold tonight:
Yellow pumpkin, yellow moon,
Yellow candlelight;

Jet-black cat with golden eyes,
Shadows black as ink,
Firelight blinking in the dark
With a yellow blink.

Black and gold, black and gold,
Nothing in between —
When the world turns black and gold,
Then it’s Halloween!

—“Black and Gold,” a children’s poem by Nancy Byrd Turner,
collected in My Poetry Book, ©1934, 1956 Holt, Rinehart and Winston

2. My dad would always

Use this one
"Halloween, Halloween,
Oh what funny things I've seen
Witches hats
Coal black cats
Broomstick riders
Mice and rats".

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
