place where I had five towering trees and each had an apartment house of squirrel nests. I got a kitten shortly after moving in and when I started letting her go outside unattended, at around 6 months old, she soon became friends with our squirrel community. She would let me know if one had died in or near the yard, they taught her to run up a tree at lightning speed, run along the top rail of a hurricane fence, and they would plat tag together quite often. I never let the squirrels in the house, though.

These two are cute, glad they have each other.
