Unbelievably Large Shelter Cat ‘Big Boi Mr. B’ Has The Internet Swooning
“He’s a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term,” wrote Morris Animal Refuge about the lovable BeeJay, who is looking for a home.

Since the photos went out on social media, BeeJay’s popularity has been so intense that the vast numbers of people seeking more information crashed the shelter’s website, which Solomon noted was still down as of Thursday night.

Luckily for anyone interested in adopting him, more information about BeeJay ― and the rest of the shelter’s animals ― is still accessible via Petfinder.

And if BeeJay’s numerous fans and admirers online are any indication, he’ll have no trouble finding a home.

1. I'd take him in a heartbeat, if they were near me.

I was afraid this was going to be a horrendously obese cat, rather than a very large Maine Coon. In the former case, I'd think it irresponsible not to care for him under veterinary care at the shelter, rather than make any attempt to adopt him out.

But, this guy looks healthy and just BIG! LOL

6. Well, the short hair suggests a mix, but likely just with a large tabby. Maine coons can certainly

get as big as 25 pounds (males) and even common tabbies can occasionally be extraordinarily large-boned without being technically obese. Its face looks domestic feline to me and since only about 40% of Maine Coons have polydactyly, I'd still assume Maine Coon-Tabby cross.

7. a very large feline has been eating on my porch lately

feral and polydactyl, "junior" seems to be pretty smart as well.

comparing hr to my 12 lb Siamese mix i'm sure he must be 20 lbs or more.

the cat in the picture sure looks bigger than that.

13. I think definitely part Maine Coon, I have a Maine Coon mix kitty

Who has the more typical medium length fur and he’s about 22 lbs. and a very long, big kitty. I always think extra big, long kitties must be partly Maine Coon.

2. He weighs 26 lbs!

The article says he is quiet, laid back, and sweet. He will surely find a new home.

4. That is one big cat!

He's probably carrying a few extra pounds, but he is undoubtedly a naturally 20lb cat. He's got to be at least 3' or longer stretched out.

8. I love brown tabby cats! He is awesome, but seems a little sad.

I hope he finds a loving forever home. I’d love to adopt him, but I live very far away.

11. Excellent photo

she's worn clothing and a head scarf to complement the patterns and coloring of BeeJay the cat! It's subtle if you don't notice it, which is what makes it really good

15. I noticed it too

I thought that it made her look like his mom. The two of them subtly match.
