I Hide Giants That I Make From Wood In The Wilderness Of The Belgian Forest

My name is Thomas Dambo. I build giant wooden trolls around the world and hide them in wilderness and forests. By doing this, I hope to lure people away from concrete cities and computer screens, into the wild and reconnect them with the natural world. I build all my enormous sculptures of recycled materials to show the potential in this precious material, which is often discarded and becomes a threat to the natural world.

The project is called “The 7 Trolls and The Magical Tower.” It’s a fairytale, told through sculptures and words, hidden in a forest, all made of recycled materials. I know it sounds a bit confusing, but watch the video and it will all make sense.

I have posted several of his past projects before... I just adore his work.

10. We have three right here in Kentucky....

at the Bernheim Forest Park off I-65 a little ways south of Louisville.

Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest
2075 Clermont Rd,
Clermont, KY 40110
Phone: (502) 955-8512
Email: nature@bernheim.org

See details with artwork photos and videos of the artist:

Forest Giants in a Giant Forest

Mama Loumari in the sun:

Took the family to see them and they are outstanding......

I highly recommend this park to anyone passing through central Kentucky for a great rest stop or to enjoy a picnic or walking trail and to teach our youth about trees!

14. You beat me to it

Was just going to post a link to this. Bernheim truly is a magical place. And as you stated its right off the Interstate. Well, 3/4's of a mile anyway lol. A treasure and highly recommended. I've walked most of the trails over the years and am still captivated by the beauty and tranquility of the place.

Sadly and infuriatingly we may soon lose a part of this wonderful place. For a goddamn pipeline!

And if that's not enough, maybe even a freaking bypass!!!!!!

[link:https://bernheim.org/possible-bypass-through-bernheim-forest-causes-concern/|

Kentucky with its voting and keeping Moscow Mitch and his band of Oligarchical fascist thieves in power are not only raping its people but its truly unique and beautiful land.

15. Thanks. Great to hear from others that love the park.

Yes, many of us are furious about the LG&E pipeline and highway plans. My daughter, a teacher with JCPS told me about this issue and she and other teachers are rallying support to try and stop these intrusions. Let's hope Bernheim's protected areas can stay that way.

Seems to me the potential noise and pollution from a bypass along Hwy. 245 would be the worst effects along with loss of park acreage including special habitat areas. I'm not convinced a third interstate loop around Louisville is even needed.

I am absolutely certain nothing is sacred to Republicans other than political power and the almighty dollar......

Honestly, he could branch out to publishing his stories as children's books, if he had the inclination.

17. And I like to smoke weed and walk in the woods. If I ever find one of these, they'll find my body

complete with soiled undies nearby.

Thanks for the heart attack.
