The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWhat do you think of serial "selfie" takers?
People who are forever stopping to take their picture anytime, anyplace? Makes me shake my head. They must be seeking validation in a big way. That's what I always think.
I know Facebook isn't the most popular social media platform among some DUers, and that's fine, but I use it. I have three profile pictures. They've been uploaded over the 12 years or so that I've had an account.
I "unfollow" friends who post a new selfie almost every day.

(17,984 posts)She's in her late 40s. Every single day before class, she would come up to my desk and start taking selfies with me and then with other students. When she came in for tutoring, she would start taking selfies with me. And she would go through the whole gamut of stupid special effects.
It became very annoying!
I would never allow that

(17,984 posts)She didn't do it during class, though. I think I did tell her to stop it on a few occasions, but the next time she would be right back at it.

Maybe try painting?

(17,255 posts)It's the equivalent of "unfollow." A minority of forum members compel me to use it, same as Facebook. It's just a small number of people make one reach that point. You know, the type for whom there will be no reparations, so to speak.
