(5,935 posts)The term "foul tip" is commonly used to describe any pitch that is slightly struck into foul territory, but the ball must be caught by the catcher in order for it to be considered a foul tip by rule. If the ball is not caught by the catcher, it is considered a regular foul ball and the baserunners are not able to advance.

(5,935 posts)If I remember correctly, it's a stunt woman, and this was from a Gatorade commercial that was never aired.

Gatorade ended its association with the agency that created the ad, Element 79, shortly after the video was completed and shelved the campaign.
We were not planning to release the ball girl video, [Gatorade spokeswoman Jill] Kinney said. However, now that its out there, were thrilled with the response its getting.
Kinney said Gatorade doesnt know who posted the video, and Element 79 said on its website that it had nothing to do with posting the video.

That was more what they call a 'screaming foul ball.'
Nice catch, though. She's pretty good. They do tend to recruit their ball girls/boys out of local youth and school sports, so the young woman was showing off her skills. Looks like she's played a few years, probably softball, but womens fast pitch softball is not a lot like seniors playing slow pitch. Those ladies have skills.
