I have experimented recently with smoking hard-boiled eggs. They made very interesting deviled eggs.

but for my daily fix, I like them over easy over/with oven fried potatoes and spicy pork sausage.

Drop 'em in the boiling water for 3 mins and scoop them out. Very simple and tasty.

A saucepan, a slotted spoon, and a cup for the raw egg are all the tools required. I like to give the water a swirl with the spoon before dropping the egg in. Some people like to add vinegar to the water.

3 minutes eggsactly.

Unless they are ingredients in cake, mousse, souffle, etc. And they have to be well cooked. I hate runny, under-cooked eggs.

I don't want to actually 'taste' the eggs much at all. I've literally never had a 'sunny side up' egg in my life. I will not eat eggs 'plain' or anything close to it.

I do like an egg-white omelet with lots of 'stuff' inside like sausage, onion, mushroom, peppers, spinach, and cheese, where you BARELY taste egg ... and I like a little scrambled eggs mixed into my ramyun noodles for the protein, but apart from that ... nah ...they're a baking ingredient only.
